Your life has changed mine. Thank you, that I could meet you. Thank you for everything you gave me. My eyes weep and the heart breaking pain. Still I ask why? And why so soon? You know that I never forget. Only you know how much you meant to me. Stay forever in my heart, the wound can not heal. Sleep well my dear Oto!

A story about our Otik began in year 2005. At that time I decided to bring home new puppy, new blood to our breeding and also a successful show dog. I felt in love in shorthaired female Bina (Ubina du val du Morakopf). I contacted her owner Jana Krek, because she planned to mate her first time. We were constantly in touch and I had opportunity to choose my new puppy (from 3 males). I needed quite a long time before I made my final decision, but I stayed at my first impression and my first decison. I chose a puppy which they called Otok (what means island in slovenian language) because of brown island on his back. We decided that his call name will be Otik. It was necessary to select his official name starting with letter „B“ and we agreed with Jana that we cah give him a name. And we gave him name Born for Winning (zrozen k vítězství). At that time we didn’t know how perfect name he got!

Otík was a really big dog with excellent and friendly character, a professional and easy to handle on shows. His pedigree was a combination of excellent saints from the very known French and Austrian kennels. Both his parents were also Interchampions and hold many other titles. His grandfather was also WUSB Winner 2004.

Interchampion and multichampion Otik attended 47 shows in seven European countries and was judged by 32 judges from 15 countries (only five judges were from Czech Republik!) He alsways got excellent. Many breed specialists judged him, for example Erika Kalscheuer (Germany), dr. G. Morsiani (Italy), Otakar Vondrouš (Czech Republik), Max Russ (Germany), Pat Muggleton (Great Britan), Erwin Brummel (Germany), madame Laffay (France) and recognized all-rounds judges from international shows as Hans Müller (Swiss - FCI President) or Karl Reisinger (Austria). Otik was showed also on two world dog shows; in Poznan in 2006 he won the intermediate class and got CAC under finnish judge and in Bratislava in 2009, he became World champion. He visited 2 times WUSB; in Donovaly (Slovakia) in 2007 he became WUSB Winner as first dog in history of our country and 1 year later (in Grevenmacher in Luxembourg) he was the best couple together with our JCh. Anežka od Strážců hor. Otik was a multichampion and five time club winner. In year 2008 he was club winner in 3 different countries: in Czech Republic, in Slovenia and in Austria. In Czech Republic he was club winner 3 years in a row (in 2007, 2008 and 2009). He was the best in II FCI group at Champion of Champions in 2008. Otik was the best saint bernard of Czech SB club in year 2008 and the best shorthaired male in years 2007 and 2008. He got 3rd place on TOP 10 - SKVPM in Slovenia (2008). Otik ended his show career in 2009 at World dog show with title world winner and gave a space to his half-brother Dallas and his offsprings. With these results he is written in history as the most successful saint bernard in our country and probably as one of the most successfuls in the world.

But Otik was not successful only as a show dogs, but also as a stud-dog. He has 93 offsprings in 4 European countries. His offsprings live in many European countries. Many of them are successful on dogs shows. Probably the most successful of them is ICh. Camilla od Strážců hor; she is European junior winner 2008 (in Hungary), Junior club winner 2008 (in Austria), club winner 2009 (Czech Republic), WUBS Winner 2009 (in Swiss), World winner 2009 (in Slovakia). 8 his offsprings are club winners: But Otik was not successful only as a show dogs, but also as a stud-dog. Daphne v.h. Borgerbos (Serbian Champion, Champion of Bosnia, Junior club winner 2010-Serbia, Club winner 2011 - Bosnia). It looks that his grandchildrens will be same successful!

Ota 5

Otik became very popular and well-known not only here but also abroad. He has a huge credit for expansion and quality breeding of shorthaired saints in Czech Republik, who in his arrival were on the brink of interest and often even contempt. With his personality he convinced many people and breeders and shorthaired variety became more and more popular. Numbers of short- and longhaired saints on shows are often almost the same (also at club show). In 2010, in Czech Republic for the first time were born more shorthaired puppies then longhaired!

Otík ve školce

Otik was very successful on show, excellent father, but most of it he was a very good friend and a member of our family. Together we spent 6 exceptional and fabulous years. Thanks to him we met many new friends and gained many friendships and the greatest is with Jana Krek from Slovenia. We lived with him many beautiful days and also the most important day...

On Friday, 22.6. 2011 unexpectedly came black clounds over us. Otik left this world during his favorite walk in nature. He left us in a lap of his owner and near his daughters. In our hearts our beloved Otik lives forever.
